Here's The Interview: One-On-One with Bag Ty!
1. How did you come into wanting to become a rapper?
I never really wanted to become a rapper. I just see alot of fraud shit going on and people rapping about they cousins life. I got a real story and I'm authentic. 2.What separates your music from other artists? Describe yourself as an artist?
I'm not gonna give you no Jay Z or Nas bars. I just know how to ride the beat really well and talk about my struggles. I only been doing this 8 months now..so I'll be more lyrical soon. How authentic I am will separate me, THESE RAPPERS FAKING.
3. What artists do you look up to?
My brother Tyrone Fisher, Fauni plays a big role in what I'm doing I really look up to my gang. Other then that I look up to artist like Bun B, Webbie, Boosie, OLD Wayne, Dipset. Shit like that.
4. Why is pursuing your music important to you?
It's important to me because I know I have a story to tell. I know there's kids in the world that feel like they trapped in the trap lifestyle. And that's why I'm here.
5. With you being from your city, did the sound of early hip-hop/rap influence your music in anyway?
Nah. I listen to niggas who came from Atlanta but they had no influence on my sound or anything like that. I've been around alot of people but none them influenced me. My gang do
6. What direction you think you're settling for your city music scene?
I'm not sure. Atlanta is pretty fast and moves very quick. I just wanna leave my mark here...as far as music, how authentic my story is...I'm def one of the best here. And if you don't think your the best you need to quit whatever your doing.
7. What do you think will help your city artists become more mainstream?
If people came together and stopped hating on each other. That would help ALOT. I'm not looking to becoming mainstream...maybe in another form of art but not music. My music for the poor niggas sitting in the trap weighing shit up. Not for the radio.
