1. How did you come into wanting to become a rapper?

This was just something that I've always wanted to since was kid. Growing up in a house with parents that were music heads, it was kinda hard not to fall for music the way i did.

2. What separates your music from other artists? Describe yourself as an artist?

Im myself. i rap about what i go through, what's around me, what the people around me have been through and what I've seen. That alone separates me simply because I'm me and nobody else could ever be me. 

3. What artists do you look up to?

Dipset, 2pac, Travis Scott, drake, young thug, Kanye west, Jay z, Future, Master p, lil wayne, bow wow, 50 cent and more. The artist i grew listening to.

4. Why is pursuing your music important to you?

Because i refuse to die and think "what if". i don't want to forever what if i follow my dreams, or what if i did something different. Even if i don't make it too where i want to be with my music, atleast i know i gave all that i could, and thats whats so important with everything in life. Life on earth is so short. You got to make something out of your time. Hopefully i can show the kids that anything is possible because i too came from nothing and did it all with my friends and the others that believed in me.

5. With you being from Uptop, did the sound of early hip-hop/rap influence your music in anyway?

i would say yah little bit. i was born in the early 90s but before i could even start school the "greats" were dead or done rapping But my dad played a lot of 2pac so i feel like i grew a strong connection to his music. so it kinda taught me to atleast say something that could empower the next person, when it comes down to spitting my raps.

6. What direction you think you're settling for your city music scene?

im think I'm helping show that the city is more than just the hard driven culture that people think of when they think about houston. that theres a whole new generation of kids that rep the city, but rep it their way.

7. What do you think will help your city artists become more mainstream?

 Just continue to be creative, embrace one another and remain true to who we are as a artist.

1. How did you come into wanting to become a rapper?

I always loved music and Hip-Hop. But otherwise, me and a couple friends started off just freestyling in the cypher for fun in middle school, and I just hit the ground running from there.

2. What separates your music from other artists? Describe yourself as an artist?

What separates me from other artist, especially now-a-days is my approach to song making. I compose music that satisfies the taste of a wide variety of fans. It's a mix of ignorant or turn up, with actual lyrical content. I would describe myself as a versatile, conceptual artist.

3. What artists do you look up to?

There's so many artist I admire and look up to from all aspects of music. But a couple are, Nas, MF Doom, Wu-Tang Clan, Action Bronson, Curren$y, Starlito, Jonwayne, Charles Hamilton, Pro Era, Dom Kennedy, Dilated Peoples, Blu, Gucci Mane. Just to name a few off the top of my head.

4. Why is pursuing your music important to you?

Pursuing my music is very important to me because it's my God giving talent, my purpose on this earth. My fate is to share this beautiful artform to people from my perspective though.

5. With you being from New york, HipHop has always been BIG there. Did the sound of early hip-hop/rap influence your music in anyway?

Yeah, thanks for noting that lol you guys do your research. But yeah I'm from the Bronx, New York and that definitely influenced my taste in music being that it's the very place hip hop started and all of the important artist to come from that area. I have a special spot in my heart for 90's Hip Hop. Big L, Big Pun, Public Enemy, KRS-1, Brother Ali, De La Soul, to name a couple I remember.

6. What direction you think you're settling for your city music scene?

My direction for my city right now is mainly underground, I don't really make mainstream friendly music. My goal is to become a established underground staple in the game nationwide.

7. What do you think will help your city artists become more mainstream?

Honestly, in my opinion my city is doing good right now. South Florida is carving out a good spot for it self in the music game currently. I see a lot of success in the near future. We got Kodak Black, Denzel Curry, Robb Banks, and then the heavy hitters, like Rick Ross and DJ Khaled.

1. How did you come into wanting to become a rapper?

Since I was a jitt I was always just really connected with music. I grew up listening to Wayne , Eminem , NWA, Linkin Park and finding new music just became my hobby. I grew up like an only child so whenever I wasn't in school I was just by myself writing and listening to music. I would have notebooks filled with lyrics that I would write to Instrumental versions of my favorite songs. 

2. What separates your music from other artists? Describe yourself as an artist

I'm really genuine when it comes down it. Everything I spit is a representation of what I've been thru or whatever I've ever felt. A lot having to do with experiences I had growing up going back and forth in Miami and Broward. I'd say my music is just real raw aggressive gutter music. The dark vibe in my songs definitely comes from the fact I spent most of my years in Homestead , Florida. If you're from there you just know. Really small place with nothing to do but drugs and just getting into trouble and shit. That place and all the people I've encountered really helped create who I am 

3. What artists do you look up to? 

First of all the the homies, just cuz they are just as dedicated and passionate as me. Our group is really competitive in a friendly way when it comes to music, just motivating each other to do better every track. When one of my dawgs make a song and shows me out of nowhere, It never fails to blow my mind and makes me want to go even harder. I'm also really inspired by Kurt Cobain and the whole grudge movement he helped start in Seattle. His art and dark lyrics just naturally catch my attention.

4. Why is pursuing your music important to you?

This shit is everything I ever wanted. Since a younginG this is all I dreamed about. I never wanted to do anything else but make a living off of my music.

5. With you being from FL, did the sound of early Downsouth hip-hop/rap influence your music in anyway?

I'm on ride down to Miami right now with the homies for a show we got Friday and my homies currently blastin Trick Daddy so that should tell you enough.

6. What direction you think you're settling for your city music scene?

Bringing passion back into this shit. Lotta these young rappers out right now just in it cause it's what's cool right now. My boys and I bringing that genuine raw shit cuz that's what we been raised around.

7. What do you think will help your city artists become more mainstream?

Everyone coming together and building with each other like they do in Atlanta. But that ain't happening any time soon. Shit is cutthroat down here no one fucks with each other too heavy unless they already popping. Shit just like that but that don't bother me,

1. How did you come into wanting to become a rapper?

I started DJ'ing house parties at 14 years old. In high school, I gained a lot of experience learning what music people reacted good to. Few months after the hobby faded away and I wanted to be more recognized for having a good ear in music. Started rapping at home little by little recording myself and going to other studios locally. Until we built the set up we have today, I fully engineer myself and keep all my production in-house with my team "The Vizitors."

2. What separates your music from other artists? Describe yourself as an artist?

I take pride in my diversity of sound throughout my music catalog. Being a Hispanic from Miami Dade County, breaking in the door of the music industry has been one of the biggest challenges i've faced. We just continue to grow and learn everyday how I can give the listeners better music.. 

3. What artists motivates you to do music? Where did you adapt your sound from?

I look up to the new wave of artists, so many to list right now but off the top of my head right now Young Thug, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Tory Lanez, Pitbull, Kap G. & many more im a supporter of good music 

4. What would you say is important to you about your music?

After high school trying out multiple paths i realized being an entrepreneur and having complete control of my situation and environment was where i worked most efficient. So when i found my passion for music in my upbringing, A lot of hope ambition and pain explains my drive for anything I do. 

5. Being that you're from Miami, did the sound of early hip-hop/rap influence your music in anyway?

Most definitelym i had my older cousins put me on at very early age to  Wu Tang, Biggie, Tupac, DMX, Three 6 Mafia, Big Tymers & Cash Money. When I grew older I found my way into the booth at around 15 years old..I directed my love for music into my lyrics and music.

6. At this point, what direction you'd say you think you're settling for your city music scene?

I'm trying to stay in my lane of having no specific genre attached to my name. We want to touch all audiences. Write a record for everyone, for every mood.

7. Okay okay, what do you think will help your city artists become more mainstream?

Don't be afraid to stay original! Sometimes takes time a while to notice results but consistency and drive is the key when your trying to stay on top of your music. Network & relationships are gold keep them like treasures cause they are in the business.

1. When did you know that being a musician was your calling? 
I knew at the age of 8! I been ready for this.

2. What separates your sound from other musicians or artists? Describe yourself as an artist? 
What separates me is I just do me, I feel like I can do anything musically from (rapping) to singing. I'm very versatile when it comes to making music! 

3. What artists do you look up to? Which artists inspire you?
Jodeci for sure! I idolized them but if we're speaking on modern-day artists, I'll have to say just to name a few August Alsina, Chris brown, and Ty Dolla-Sign for sure.

4. Why is pursuing your music important to you?
I feel like this is all I know. I never wanted to be at anyone's job. I hate working (9-5) shifts. I'm more of a fast money type of guy, I guess. I'm not made to be washing dishes or at college studying something I don't genuinely like. I feel like this is what God had planned for me!

5. With you being from FL, did the sound of early Downsouth hip-hop/rap influence your music in anyway?
Hell yeah. I most definitely salute Trick Daddy and everyone trying to make it out of the city. Salute to the OG's

6. What direction you think you're settling for your city music scene?
I don't really think I'm trying to go in a specific direction. When I make music, I just do me.. and some people support that and some don't.

7. What do you think will help your city artists become more mainstream?
Stop hating on each other and work together. I think many people don't realize everybody trying to accomplish the same goal. We all out here grinding to be on top!

(Miami, Fl) Toon has hosted some of the dopest parties in Downsouth-Kendall area, but what some may never know is how serious he want to make it to the top.

1. When did you know that being a musician was your calling?

For sure it was the day before my brother died. He told me I was going to blow up in music and he was always the one telling me that I sucked. So I always felt I had the need to prove I'm way better at (rapping) than what people think..

2. What separates your sound from other musicians or artists? Describe yourself as an artist?

I'm a mixture of hip hop with a mix of weird "mumble rap." I also like to mix some of my music with a little R&B to reach out to the ladies.

3. What artists do you look up to? Which artists inspire you?

I look up to Drake and Ski-Mask, but Slump God inspires me.

4. Why is pursuing your music important to you?

It was something my brother wanted his last request, so I got to go get it.

5. With you being from Miami, did the sound of early Miami hip-hop/rap influence your music in anyway?

No, not really I didn't too much care for music when I was younger. It was something I grew into liking as I got older. I saw a lot of people was actually supporting in the beginning so it forced me to continue and take this somewhere.

6. What direction you think you're settling for Miami music scene?

The weird side - "I'm weird, I'm not afraid to be myself." I think a lot of people fail to get that.

7. What do you think will help Miami artists become more mainstream?

To be honest, I don't know. I think everyone just need to stop competing with each other and compete with other cities. We must come together to win, forreal!
